Build & Release Manager

ATB is changing the face of Telecommunication communications by launching a constellation of telecommunication nanosatellites! With the recent success of our Series A funding, a handful of early customers, and our first two satellites in orbit, ATB is currently doubling in size!

You will have the opportunity to develop a robust testing, release, and support infrastructure for the entire ATB software stack. At ATB as we are scaling and developing new software products we are outgrowing our current release procedures. Implementation of industry standard release processes and procedures and quality control as the company expands is imperative to the successful delivery of our mission to bring the internet to space. With this goal in mind, experience in release engineering or similar field is essential.

Responsibilities:

Manage the software release process for a number of software products: Telecommunication on board software, Internal mission control software, User terminal software and many more

Prepare and implement appropriate test plans, quality checks, and procedures

Design and maintain tools to automate operational and application processes.

Establish release schedules, tracking, and control procedures

Maintain release notes and installation documentation

Assist with maintenance, automation and scaling of our CI and CD infrastructure

Troubleshoot deployment failures

Support and provide management with metrics, reports, and schedules as necessary

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in release engineering or similar role

Experience using Bash

Experience using Git

Ability to write clean and legible Python code

Ability to write and decipher makefiles

Experience with continuous integration testing

Bonus Points:

Experience with open embedded and/or docker containers

Experience managing and working with software-defined networks

Experience packaging Python modules and libraries

Ability to write C/C++

Ability to write SQL

Experience with pytest and/or Google Test

Experience with Jira workflows
